  The Aurora Airpark

 

The Aurora Airpark is my favorite airport in Colorado. It is the most taildragger friendly airport in the Denver metro area. You can even rent an L-16 Champ taildragger here. The manager and people that work and hang out there are a friendly bunch that are interested in the joy of flying.

  Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport

 

Colorado's mountains attract visitors from all over the world. Fishing, golfing, relaxing and the pure beauty of spring attract many visitors, while hikers and bikers thrive on the challenges presented by the mountain trails and roads in the summer. The changing colors of the aspen trees attract nature lovers in the fall, while winter provides the ski resorts with plenty of snow to satisfy the ski enthusiasts. The Eagle County operates a VFR Airport Traffic Control Tower at the Eagle Airport from 0700 until 1900 local, seven days a week. Please note that there is no snow removal at night. Night operations are discouraged to pilots unfamiliar with airport.

  Yampa Valley Regional Airport

 

Yampa Valley Regional Airport is the only "Jet Port" serving all of Northwest Colorado. The Airport is situated just minutes from the Steamboat Springs ski resort, Dinosaur National Park, and some of the greatest fishing in the contiguous U.S.
